Carboxytherapy at Vixen Aesthetics Carboxytherapy Chest Rejuvenation

Carboxytherapy is not new at all. It was discovered in France in the 30's and first used to treat leg vascular diseases. Doctors have found that baths containing CO2 gas were able to increase vascularization of the legs and lower ischemia. They also realized that sub-cutaneous injections of CO2 was able to increase blood flow, lowering ischemia also.

Aesthetic use of Carboxytherapy with sub-cutaneous injections or intradermal injections of carbon dioxide is relatively new, as it was dioscovered in the end of the 20th century in Italy. Studies demonstrated that CO2 injections ware able to modify the blood flow in cellulite area, increasing lipolysis functions of the body. It was also demonstrated that blood flow increase was able to rejuvenate skin by increasing the production of collagen in the dermis and lower dermis.

The first machines to be produced where made in Italy in the beginning of the 2000's. There are now various factories in Turkia, Korea, Brazil, China, Italy, Mexico and the USA. They are based on the same principle: controlling CO2 gas pressure, measuring gas flow inml/min and controling the time to deliver to the skin. Some machines have interesting options such as heating the gas for better results.

B12? Why we need the right amount...
Vitamin B12 is an essential water-soluble vitamin that is commonly found in a variety of foods such as fish, shellfish, meat, and dairy products. Vitamin B12 is frequently used in combination with other B vitamins in a vitamin B complex formulation. It helps maintain healthy nerve cells and red blood cells and is also needed to make DNA, the genetic material in all cells. A day's supply of vitamin B12 can be obtained by eating 1 chicken breast plus 1 hard-boiled egg plus 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt, or 1 cup milk plus 1 cup raisin bran. As women we sometimes need boosters of B12 especially during periods of high stress like giving birth, nursing mothers, illness, severe dieting/weight loss and sleep deprivation. At VIXEN, after careful review, you may be a candidate for B12 injections.
